Annual Fundraising Banquet
We’re going virtual this year!
This year’s banquet’s theme, “FEED MY SHEEP,” has special meaning as we take a closer look at Scripture and how it applies to our mission. Let us explain…
The annual fundraiser produces a significant portion of the funding needed to meet our budget. As we laid plans in January for our 2020 Fall Fundraiser, we couldn’t have imagined our country experiencing a time such as this, and the crippling effect it would create for ministries and nonprofits.
Working with the Board and surveying our table hosts for their opinions, we carefully considered various options concerning the banquet. Because of the uncertainty of ever-changing mandates, we agree that the safest thing to do is postpone such a large gathering this year. However, babies and toddlers haven’t realized that we are in the midst of a pandemic and so they continue to outgrow their clothes, need frequent diaper changes, want fed on a regular schedule and require safety items such as cribs, highchairs, car seats, etc. For these reasons and more, TryLife Center continues to be open and available for our mothers, babies and struggling families. Now more than ever, we are able to put action behind the words of Matthew 25: 35 For I hungered, and you fed me; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; … 36 naked, and you clothed Me… 40 ‘Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it unto Me.’
Many sources of revenue have not been available to us since March 16, 2020, yet we have not abandoned our families. While we will miss seeing you at the banquet where you could meet some of our moms and their babies, share a meal, and be inspired by the testimonies of clients, reluctantly, we must forego this year’s gathering.
In order to carry on our mission and overcome the challenge of not having a banquet, we’re asking you to please support our families at the same level you did for the 2019 banquet. Will you click the ‘donate’ button below and commit to the same level of giving this year: whether you gave a one-time gift, and/or are one of our faithful monthly donors? Times have changed but babies’ needs have not.
Thank you for this important consideration. You are the reason that our doors remain open to some of the most overlooked members of our community.
