Pregnancy Testing: Get the Facts
Is your period late? Are you feeling sick to your stomach? If you’ve recently had unprotected (or even protected) sex, you could be pregnant. First things first: take a pregnancy test. You can test for free at TryLife Center.
Are you pregnant?
We don’t believe anyone should have to pay to find out if they’re pregnant which is why we offer free confidential pregnancy testing. Even if you’ve already taken an at-home test, confirm your results with our free pregnancy test. It’s your best first step to get the answers you need to move forward.
How Pregnancy Tests Work
When a woman is pregnant, her body produces a specific hormone, known as hCG. This pregnancy hormone is produced once a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. A positive pregnancy test means hCG was detected in a woman’s urine. In order to get an accurate result, it’s important to wait a few days after your missed period.
Already took an at-home test?
Even if you took an over-the-counter pregnancy test, it is important to confirm your results. At-home tests are accurate, but because a woman is anxious, they’re often taken too soon or incorrectly. As a result, if a pregnancy test is taken at the wrong time or the directions aren’t followed, there’s a chance you’ll get an incorrect result. Our free pregnancy tests can offer a second opinion.
